Re: Cherry Tree
Complete garbage and a really poor choice for the film to open the festival.

Re: Landmine Goes Click
Awkward one this.
I feel that there is a really good film in here somewhere but needs some judicious pruning to get the best out of it.
As I mentioned to other people around me and as has been mentioned here the rape scene needs trimming down some as that was uncomfortable to watch.

Re: Frightfest Thanks
Big thank you to the guys as usual for a great festival.
Didn't think the films were that great this year but still enjoyed the event as usual.
Looking forward to next year already.

Re: My top and bottom 3
The Good: (rather short list this year for me)
Night Fare - Best thing by a mile I thought
Turbo Kid
Deathgasm
Scherzo Diabolico
The Bad:(this could be a lot longer but will stick to the main culprits)
Cherry Tree
Hellions
Inner Demon
Curve
Slumlord
Jeruzalem (Cloverfield remake Israeli style)

Re: Turbo Kid
As long as you accept it for what it is and trying to do was great fun.
A real surprise as I had pretty low expectations going in.

Re: Deathgasm
Completely mental but worked perfectly in the late night shot

Really liked this was very well executed seeing the main characters whole plan unravel in the last act. Lovely music as well.

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014
Well thats disappointing, After finally convincing a friend to do the whole festival, he's done the odd day pass since I have been coming since 2005, he was unable to get us a pair of festival tickets via the online booking despite repeated attempts, Is gonna seem rather strange not being in Leicest...

Re: Allocating Discovery Screen Tickets
I am not sure how we get around this. Probably like quite a few others had days where I wanted see what was on the disco screens more than what was showing on the main screen. But not being prepared to queue for ages and then missing out it ends up being pot luck if you get what you want. Fri 1/3 Sa...

Average and sometimes was trying to be a bit too clever for its own good.

Re: The Hypnotist
Usual slow build up which seems standard with most of the Scandinavian but still enjoyed it immensely.
On a lighter note am still wondering when the cops in these will realise that taking the family/next of kin with them to apprehend the main suspect is not a good idea.
