Re: What Keeps You Alive
This was so close to being my film of the festival, only beaten by One cut of the Dead. Only earlier in the day, i had been talking to a few people about the lack of Female Serial Killers in our Genre (this was one question in the Quiz on Wednesday as well) and we were ploughing our brains to think ...

Re: Await Further Instructions
For me, this was the biggest and best surprise of the whole of frightfest. I had seen to many "jump scare" movies earlier in the day (Hell is where the home is and Hes Out There) so the thought of seeing another one (Terrified) put me off as i like my diversity (not the dance group though!...

Re: The Duke Mitchell Party 2018
As a first time Duke Mitchell visitor, i found it a real laugh. Except for the nazi war clip at the beginning. I know this was a very popular event, one which a lot of my fellow Frightfester friends who have been before told me to go to. And fortunately we all sat quite close (and near the front). T...

Re: Best 5 of the festival
Either I was the only person here to see it, or I completely misjudged it but I’m amazed nobody else is ranking The Laplace’s Demon. Thanks for the tip. The concept and trailer looked very interesting. Pity it was scheduled on the Cineworld Discovery screen so it could be only seen by about 25 pass...

Re: One Cut of the Dead
By far the best (and biggest surprise) film of the festival.
Dont think ive been in a horror film and laughed so much. The crowd upstairs in PCC were nearly wetting themselves.
POM!

Re: Incident in a Ghostland
So dissapointed. Ill repeat the comments i put up on twitter on this - I love a good scare but i just found it sick, depraved & intense. Too many jump scares.
Re: Climax
However, these days we get too many films that have the same premise just shot different and we complain we have seen it all before. I for one admire Noe's originality. And this is his most commerical film so far. One of the friends i made at this years frightfest had her friend get up and leave ha...

Re: Climax
Lets be honest, you know by now what you are gonna get with Gaspar Noe. His films are Marmite. Love it or Hate it. But you will need a strong stomach. Cartain scenes in his previous films like Irreversible and Enter the Void have turned by stomach and again here the scene with the young boy was very...

Re: Strong Year?
Had a really great time as usual this year. For me the highlights were What Keeps you alive, One cut of the Dead, Summer of 84 and Pimped (Tigers would have been on there but id already seen it at Glasgow). Im gonna be controversial and say i didnt think Hitler/Bigfoot should have been in Frightfest...

Re: Discovery/first blood tks
To be honest, i was cacking myself this morning as im currently in a remote part of Belgium with not much wifi. My friend had to drive me 10 miles to the nearest town with an internet cafe and i was still sceptical when i got logged on. Yes it was slow to start with and i feared the worst when i cou...

Re: What Seat did you get? (2018)
Hi, I am new to FrightFest. I got seats in row E for Sunday. It seems very close to the screen, any advice about whether to expect uncomfortable Lifting Head Syndrome??? Really excited! Seeing: The Man Who Killed Hitler and then the Bigfoot, Bodied (PC cinema, need to get ticket for that), Terrifie...
