Re: Films for Frightfest August 2015
This looks creepy and is apparently doing the festival circuits: Goodnight Mommy https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7u3GCfr0U94 Top of my list. The director Victoria Franz is the spouse of Ulrich Seidl who is the producer and an Austrian master in the "feel bad movie" section. I could recommen...

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015
Hi All, I got two tickets very late in the game after crashing browsers, re-queuing, etc. so I can understand the frustration. However there are two happy film fans now. However, some of you are definitely overreacting with your drama. As we all know organising any event (film, music, etc.) is a rig...

Re: 2014 All nighter
I took a tactical sleep during The Pact 2. I am not sure what to think about The Editor - hilarious at times I am not sure if the joke can be stretched to feature length. They could easily have a done a "proper" giallo. Perhaps I was too tired.

On my way (alone) to the all nighter in London! Should be fun if you make it fun! See you there.

Re: The Strain
Before "Signal" in Screen 5 the audience started cheering and quoting along when they showed The Strain and the Arrow movies trailer.
Nymph
"Omph" would have been a better title. Worst film I have seen so far. Copycat of cliche horror badly executed. After sitting through an hour of glossy, dumb storytelling the monster was also quite disappointing. Some entertainment value in the dry, wooden dialogue in bad English. Even nipp...

Re: The House at the End of Time
Really enjoyed the film. Felt classic and somehow innocent, yet it had a clever story and twists. I really liked the Lovecaft style symbolism shown through architecture, symbolism (eye, book) and the general door/gate references. Agree, that the aging effect on the lead character was a bit distracti...

Re: Frightfest's worst movie ever?
Yesterday I got it confirmed that watching musicals in any form (even in satire form - also had my problems with South Park creator's Book of Mormon) is not my cup of tea. Just annoying, so yeah in a strange way I had horrors. Nice TCM reference though..

Re: Stage Fright
The endless references where quite funny (especially TCM) but even it was intended, I have to admit I can't stand musicals.

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014
Guys, I picked up my day passes today I booked via phone. They couldn't find anything under my credit card. Thankfully I had the reservation number and could give them details such as seat number per day and Screen.

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014
My "lessons learnt": Either queue or use the phone in order to avoid hair loss and teeth grinding. One would think I would have been smarter after trying to book gigs and other festival tickets online which were high in demand as well.

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014
That is right. The 0345 308 4620 number is not open Saturday. Try 08712 240 240 - Just got my day passes (unfortunately I can't do the whole thing) via phone and had a friendly operator : First they processed refund of the online booking attempt where I got the "There has been an error with you...
