Salvage

Post by kimblebee »

This film is another one that seemed to go down really well in the discovery screen - i found it quite tense once it got going and there is a really stark contrast between filming inside the house and on the street before the chaos breaks out and afterwards! Like Pontypool, again this is a film that subscribes to the 'showing less is more' school of thought and it works. I thought the lead actress and young girl in it gave fantastic performances and added a sense of realism to a rather surreal situation.

I enjoyed this too. A tense low budget British thriller which had a 'Right At Your Door' feel too it. Well worth catching for anyone that didn't managed to see it.

Gladded I missed Dead Snow for this...

Although it was very similar in parts to Jack Kilborns book Afraid.... think that's the authors name :D

Yeah have to say I really enjoyed this too, very very tense, I could could feel an almost constant sense of menace, would love to see this made with a bigger budget, some of the performances were superb, the lead lady especially.

The only film I caught on the discovery screen over the weekend and it was great - should have replaced one of the pap films on the main screen :)

I enjoyed Salvage apart from the 'monster' and the ending. I actually chortled a little bit at it.

I went in expecting it to be bad and was pleasantly surprised. Would have preferred if it was a zombie though :)

Shaun Dooley is an excellent actor as well.

Enjoyed this. Should have been on the big screen instead of Zombie Women Of Poo...
