Too slow to get going (especially in the barn), but a pretty solid piece once the action got going. Decent twist. Annoying that one of the bald cap shots showed a clear join - that kind of thing just breaks the mood.

i agree it was a bit slow to get going but it was entertaining enough once it suddenly kicked off, ive got to say though, i saw the 'twist' coming about 45 mins before it happened, that wig in the bedroom sort of made me realise what was going on. although i liked the extra little twist that explains why she was paying rent on the extra flat,

It felt like 13 years,a bunch of unlikeable characters left me with nothing to invest in them as i couldnt care less about any of them,13 hrs was a misleading title.

Good catch (since it wasn't relevant for another hour or so)!

i write a lot, so i tend to keep an eye out at the points where signposts are meant to turn up. 20/30 mins into a 90 min horror film there will almost always be a passing shot of something important.

Okay, low budget... doesn't mean it's bad... just means you have to be smart about what you do...

and here rests the flaw: the whole nekkid, hairless werewolves just doesn't work!

This could have been a nice little movie if they had tossed it into a pot with 'Primal': no werewolves but actually humans degenrating and becoming 'primal'.

Seriously, in the beginning I thought the twist would be that the 'monster' actually turns out to be the young kid having gone bonkers due to the drugs.

But no... instead we have to settle for Ma Werewolf...

on the upside I'm sure somebody could come up with a good porn flick: watch hairless werewolf bitches duke it out after they have gone down on all the men and eaten the chick(s - yes, good porn would need more women!)

snap, but I liked the idea of it. I liked the eyes glowing in the dark too. I didn't read the synopsis of the film before hand so I was plesently suprised to see a werewolf film.

The identity of the creature wasn't surprising, but I liked the tightness of the plotting, including the "clues" of the wig and the invoice for the flat. And it was neat that a stupid prank, letting down a tyre, had triggered the whole sequence of events and revealed a family secret which had (presumably) been successfully hidden for years.

Shame about the awful "let's PAAARTY, smoke weed and talk about sex" scene though. Why do 90% of horror movies insist on making all characters under the age of 25 complete twats? (IMO, of course). And the acting was appalling, especially from the oldest brother. Speaking of which, what the hell was John Lynch there for, doing the worst "Northern" accent in recent film history?

This one didn't do it for me. And they killed off Manimal so early! Why did they dub John Lynch with Sean Bean's voice?

As others have mentioned, it's too slow in the early stages and the character exposition in the barn goes on for ever without giving me a single reason to care why any of them should survive the second reel, let alone the whole movie. When it does get going it's a reasonably efficient monster movie; nothign special but with a few good moments.

Yeah, this is a constant bugbear of mine with a lot of recent genre pictures. In order to get an audience interested in the characters, the characters have to be leering lads (drunk or stoned) or ridiculously easy lays. Look at the dispiriting lineup of machete fodder in the Friday The 13th reboot - drug dealers, morons and nymphomaniacs. So I'm on Jason's side pretty much from the start and if he'd taken much more time about it I'd have climed onto the screen and offed them myself. In the case of 13 Hours our heroes gave marijuana to a 13-year-old kid.

Thought it was a bit slow going and did like the view point of the "werewolf" .Did remind me a bit of Wolfen. Had a few jumps and a rather interesting ending.

I kept getting distracted by the fact that the not very manly brother looks like my friend Jenny.

Couldn't get into this one cause I found the siblings so unlikeable, I didn't understand the dynamic of their relationships and they didn't go into why she left in the first place or did they? I was hoping it was going to be about an improper relationship with her best friend

I dozed off near the start of this, which says it all really. Although, I did wake up in time to see Gemma Atkinson blow her own head off.
