The Devil's Business

Of the films I saw, this wins the 'creepiness' award.

This was an excellent example of shooting on a buget and making to most of location, effects and most importantly for more, music and sound.

I went to see this instead of the Woman and I was not disappointed in the slightest.

Well done to all involved.

*** Spoilers ***

Very effective scary supernatural horror, a companion piece to 'The Kill List', but this incorporates the supernatural right from the opening credits. Eerie and dread-inducing as the 2 main characters are drawn deeper into their worst nightmares. Unsettling and full of suspense, with a good relationship between the two main characters (both well acted). However, at times it felt more like a play than a movie and you could broadly see where the plot was going. 8.5 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

I went to see this instead of The Woman (which I find to be a bore) and was mesmerised the whole time. Proper film making with passion, effort and talent. Keep it up Sean!

It's not bad, but for a full feature there isn't enough happening and it is all talk for about the first half.

For a full feature it was actually pretty short (75 mins?)and the director's intention (well achieved I thought) was to build the characterisation and tension inthe first half to give the second half more impact. Overall it was similair to but better than Kill List as the characters were better.

I disagree with Richard on this one, I thought the slow build up of dread was well handled, leading to a genuinely freaky ending that successfully gave me the herby jeebies. This was like stumbling an a really good episode of Hammer House of Horror that i'd never seen. I really liked it.
There is no delight the equal of dread

Also a sort of nod to PHENOMENA.
