The Mirror

Post by sherbetbizarre »

Decent found-footage flick about three 20-somethings trying to capture the paranormal on film while living with a haunted mirror 7/10.

The showing was worth attending as not only were the director and two of the stars there, but also the two guys from Muswell Hill whose story inspired the film. So we got to hear about the making of the film, plus the real-life events.

The real mirror was eventually sold to some "mad" guy in Germany, but the movie mirror was at the screening, and given away to the nights best question... and it was massive! I assume the lady who won chose the delivery option...

Effectively chilling supernatural found footage flick that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up on several occasions. Also good to see a film of this sub-genre not rely too much on jump scares but instead focus on suspense. The humour and characters also kept the film interesting during the slower parts. 8 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.
