8/10 - Avoid all spoilers for best effect.
Re: The Master Cleanse
Not sure you could spoil this, it pans out exactly as you'd expect once the cleanse stuff starts.
Re: The Master Cleanse
Had me saying 'ahhhhhh' instead of 'ugghhhhh'.
Good 'clean' fun.
Anyone who's dabbled in the mind-body-spirit/self-help movement and still has a sense of humour will thoroughly enjoy this one. A perfect allegory.

I loved this, it was easily the best of the (main screen) offerings for me. It had this whimsical charm which just made me care more about the characters' journeys over its 86 minutes that some of the much longer films of the weekend managed to achieve.

The most unexpected favourite of the festival for me, and like others I was reduced to a blancmange
Another which I think could do really well on general release if it gets a chance. I loved it, and I nearly didn't even see it.

A fun little movie great effects and a good cast. I thought Anjelica Houston was great even if her role was only small. Also it seemed to fly past I'm not sure how long it was. Worth seeing if you missed it at the festival.

Re: The Master Cleanse
The more I think about this movie the more frustrated I become at it, and more confused as to why people were satisfied by it. But then again I enjoyed Cell and everyone else seems to have made it their mission to slate it more than the next person.
The master cleanse felt like half or two thirds of a film and still felt too long. It's characters were so passive and their 'journey' from start to finish was utterly unbelievable.
Plus no one vomits in their own sink, that is what the toilet is for.
I wouldn't be suprised if it was written by Haruki Murakami

A lovely little film, with no surprises except that I still find Johnny Galecki irritating and very punchable.
