Daniel Isn't Real

7/10 - Neither Luke nor the shrink should have been stupid enough to empower Daniel. Following the movie's own logic,
Spoiler:
Daniel will just jump to another host now Luke's dead.

I thought the same as jonbly's spoilery comment. Still, lots to like in this one, including
Spoiler:
the mythology,
the battles with mental health and the last 20 minutes, but there was a spell about three quarters of the way through that for me got a little too silly and tiresome, which prevented me from fully engaging with it. 7.5 / 10
No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering.

Not bad. With regard to the spoilered comments above, I assumed that
Spoiler:
he could only transfer to someone else if they were nearby when his current host died, like in the coffee shop at the beginning when he latched onto Luke. I suppose there was always his girlfriend, although I got the impression Luke was the first to "beat" Daniel.
Kept my attention and didn't drag like some of the others. 3/5

I was enjoying this at the start, but half-way through, the film decides to explain everything and remove all ambiguity. A man turned up to provide a load of exposition and I lost interest. The film does have some striking visuals and music but was ultimately too literal and too safe.
