At Glasgow this year the FF guys kindly ran a swap shop so attendees could swap or more likely dump unwanted dvds. How cool would it be if this was done in London with a crowd 3 times the size of GFF? I swapped some Tarantino doubles and got Doctor Chopper (terrible), Driller Killer (was not for me) and Firestarter which I've still to watch, some bastard got in there before I could pick up Big Tit Zombie
I recently got a blu ray player and I'm sure others out there have blu ray and dvd doubles which could be traded for undiscovered horror or b movie gems.

Re: Swap Shop
That's a pretty good idea actually. I'd be up for that.
I have Big Tits Zombie and believe me you're not missing out on anything, that film was awful, it's lacking in the tits, the ones there aren't particularly big, and the zombies are few and far between! It's almost worth complainig to Trade Descriptions!
(I'm not parting with it though, none of my zombie films are up for grabs, even though I'll probably never watch them again, they're part of the family now)

Re: Swap Shop
I assume you're referring to a duplicate, because nobody would just give away their only copy of that masterpiece. I loved that movie!Wulfster wrote:... Or Bitch Slap.MaxRenn wrote:

Re: Swap Shop
I'd be up for this. Always looking for ways to augment my collection. Last year had a little unofficial swap shop with two people from forum who were having a clear out and managed to get Switchblade Romance, dr terrors house of horrors, Colin and a few others.

Re: Swap Shop
This sounds good. A chance to offload a lot of films I'm never going to watch again, pick up a few more interesting titles, and my discards go to a good home. Plus many of the discs could probably circulate again at Halloween and/or Glasgow!

Re: Swap Shop
I consider myself warned. I imagine the logisitcs of 1400 trying to swap dvds maybe difficult but hopefully we can try. I myself am coming from Scotland so I can only bring a few dvd but it could be a laugh. Does anyone want the following; Chanabara Beauty, Outpost, Scar, Kick Ass, Kill Bill 2, Quarantine or Ripper?ArghZombies wrote:That's a pretty good idea actually. I'd be up for that.
